I was so thrilled and honored to DJ Chuck and Andy’s wedding at The Umstead Hotel!  They are a great couple and both their laughs are just infectious!

The ceremony was held out back overlooking a beautiful pond with live music by Scott Schillin.  After the ceremony, the 140 guests made their way to the pre-function area inside and out for cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres while photographer Adam got some pics.

After the cocktail hour the doors to the ballroom opened and guests found their seats and got ready for Chuck & Andy’s introduction.  They came in and thanked everyone for coming and the soup, salads and entrées came out.  During dinner I played a mix of soft rock, standards and classic soul.

After dinner we had the cake cutting that was delivered to each table with a custom cookie of Chuck and Andy.  So great!!  After a few toasts I opened the floor with some Motown and top 40 and the photo booth opened in the hallway.

For the next couple hours guests packed the floor to top 40/dance music (lots of Lady Gaga), 70’s and 80’s.  We ended the night with Donna Summer’s “last Dance” but they weren’t ready to leave yet.  So, I played it again while the guests made a circle around them and danced with them.

This was one of my favorite weddings, and not one I, or the guests, will soon forget!

Thank you again
