I was thrilled to DJ Cathy & Taylor’s wedding at Doubletree in RTP!  They are the nicest couple and picked some great music!

After the ceremony at St. Thomas Moore in Chapel Hill, guests made their way to the Inn for the reception. During the cocktail hour they had a live pianist playing.  After the cocktail hour the 120 guests made their way into the ballroom for dinner and dancing.  I introduced the wedding party and Cathy & Taylor came in for their first dance followed by a welcome by Cathy’s father and the blessing by Craig McCoy.  The salad’s and entrées came out and I had a mix of standards, classic soul and soft rock playing.

After dinner we had the toasts and cake cutting, then opened the dance floor for a short time with some Motown and top 40.  After some dancing we had the anniversary dance, then back to dancing til the end of the night.  During the next 2 hours guests packed the floor and danced to top 40, oldies and some sing-a-longs that included a circle of friends all singing “Friends In Low Places” and “Piano Man” at the top of their lungs! So great!!

We ended the night with “Save The Last Dance For Me” by The Drifters and finally Donna Summer’s “Last Dance”.

This was one of my favorite weddings, and not one I, or the guests, will soon forget!

Thank you again
