Kelsey and David could not have picked a better day for their wedding at Merrimon-Wynne!  The weather was perfect for their outdoor ceremony.

As the 130 guests arrived for the ceremony in the lawn, they were treated to live music by Arioso Strings quartet.  After a beautiful ceremony by Barbara Lodge that included a couple readings, the guests made their way inside the house for cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres while Robin got some shots of the wedding party.

After the cocktail hour the guests made their way to the carriage house for dinner and dancing.  I had some indie rock playing while the guests found their seats.  I introduced the wedding party and Kelsey and David and they came in for their first dance followed by a heartfelt welcome and blessing by Kelsey’s father.  The salads came out shortly and the buffet opened.  During dinner I had a mix of classic jazz and standards playing with a couple 50’s pop songs for Kelsey’s Grandfather mixed in.

After dinner we had the toasts and parents dances followed by an anniversary dance with Kelsey’s Grandparents winning.  I opened the floor to everyone and the floor packed with young and old.  Guests dances, played lawn games outside and went through the photo booth.

We paused briefly for the bouquet toss and then a “family dance” for Kelsey, her parents and brothers to Eric B & Rakim’s “Paid In Full”.  Coolest parents ever award goes to Kelsey’s parents that knew the lyrics to the entire song!!  I also loved Kelsey and her Grandfather’s dance to “Willie & The Hand Jive” that he taught her when she was a child.  We ended the night with “Sweet Caroline” and finally Billie Holiday’s version of “Night & Day” and a sparkler exit from the front of the house.

This was one of my favorite weddings, and not one I, or the guests, will soon forget!

Thank you again
