I was thrilled to DJ another Daughter of the Royal family’s wedding!  I had DJ’d oldest Daughter Christine’s wedding 2 years earlier and had a blast at that one!

The 100 guests arrived to The Proximity Hotel in Greensboro for the ceremony and were treated to live music by classical guitarist extraordinaire Matthew Kanon who also performed Jessica & Gabriel’s ceremony music and cocktail hour.  I always enjoy hearing him play!

After the cocktail hour on the bottom floor, the guests made their way to the main floor for the reception.  After the guests had found their seats Jessica & Gabriel entered the room to thunderous applause and had their first dance.  I invited Jessica’s Father to join her on the floor for their dance and after a minute Gabriel escorted his Mother to the floor to dance as well.  Jessica’s Father did another hilarious welcome and the salads and entrees came out.  During dinner I had a mix of soft rock, classic soul and standards playing.

After dinner I opened the floor with “The Hora” and it filled within 30 seconds.  From there it was a great dance party for the next 2.5 hours with a mix of oldies, current dance music and a couple line dances.  We paused for toasts, the cake cutting, bouquet & garter tosses during the night and then back to dancing.

The night ended with “Sweet Caroline” and finally “Save The Last Dance For Me” before a bubble exit from the front of the Hotel.

This was one of my favorite weddings, and not one I, or the guests, will soon forget! I can’t wait to do it all again in May for their last daughter Stephanie & Joshua’s wedding!

Thank you again and see you in May!

What a complete honor to DJ Nicole and Tyler’s wedding!  Nicole is a wedding planner and has heard every DJ in the area and chose me for her important day.

As I arrived to set up for the ceremony, I could hear Tyler & his Groomsmen skeet shooting on the Rose Hill grounds.  I set up next to the picturesque front porch, started the pre-ceremony music and the 150 guests arrived shortly.  After a short ceremony officiated by Tyler’s family’s long time friend and neighbor Reverend Sullivan, the guests made their way into the Manor House for the cocktail hour.

After the cocktail hour the guests made their way to the main ballroom next door for dinner and dancing.  After everyone had found their seats I introduced the wedding party and Nicole & Tyler came in for their first dance.  The wedding party then took their seats and Nicole danced with her Father and Tyler danced with his Sister in memory of his late Mother.  Nicole’s Father welcomed everyone and Reverend Johnny blessed the meal.  The salads and entrees came out and I played a mix of country and rock during dinner.

After dinner we had the cake cutting and toasts followed by the most special moment of the night.  Nicole’s Father sat down with his guitar and sang an original song for them called “Never Let Go”.  So great!!  It was hard to follow that, but I did my best opening the dance floor with “Brick House” and it soon packed with young and old.

We paused briefly for the bouquet and garter tosses, then back to dancing until the end of the night.  Nicole even had a special dance with her girlfriends to “Wanna Be”.  We ended the night with their last dance and a sparkler exit outside.

This was one of my favorite weddings, and not one I, or the guests, will soon forget!

Thank you again

What a fun wedding reception!!  Lindsay & Hal brought a New Jersey reception to North Carolina and I was thrilled to help them pull it off!!

Their wedding ceremony was help in the back of the Umstead and overlooks a pond.  It is absolutely beautiful there and I provided music.  After the ceremony, their Rabbi invited guests to the back patio for cocktails, pasta & BBQ stations.

After the cocktail hour, the 150 guests found their seats inside the ballroom and got ready for the party to begin!  I introduced the wedding party and finally Lindsay & Hal came in to thunderous applause.  They came to the floor for their choreographed first dance and then we had a hora dance that a friend of theirs remixed that filled the floor !!  After that I continued dance music for 25 minutes while the staff brought out the first course of crab cakes.  During that course I played dinner music.

Towards the end of the first course we had the first set of toasts by the mothers and stepfather and then back to dancing while the staff cleared the table and brought out the second course of salad. After salad, we had the second round of toasts that included Hal’s cousin interrupting his other best man’s toast with “Showdown” by ELO from the “Kingpin” movie.  It was classic!!! Then, the floor opened again for another 25 minutes while the main entrees came out.

After the entrees were finished Lindsay danced with her stepfather and brother in memory of her late father Ken and then Hal danced with his mother.  I opened up the floor again until we paused briefly for the cake cutting and the ice cream bar opened.  We finished the night with a packed dance floor and a confetti canon finale on the dance floor.

This was one of my favorite weddings, and not one I, or the guests, will soon forget!

Thank you again
