I was so happy to be able to play for April and Danny’s wedding at The Washington-Duke Inn!  They are such a nice couple and have one of the sweetest and prettiest daughters, Maria!

Because of the forecasted weather, they chose to have the wedding ceremony inside.  Minister Barbara Lodge did a prefect job as always and the ceremony was very touching and included their daughter in the sand ceremony.  After the ceremony Barbara invited guests to the front foyer for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.  I had a mix of top 40, soft rock and classic soul playing.  When pics were done guests started making their way down to the ballroom for dinner and dancing.  The room looked beautiful with arrangements by Lyn at Fresh Affairs.

I introduced the wedding party and April & Danny and they came right to the floor for their first dance.  After that Danny welcomed everyone and his Uncle David blessed the meal.  The salad, soup & entrĂ©es came out and I continued the same music mix as cocktails.

After dinner we had the Ashely’s cake cutting followed by the champagne toasts. April then joined her father on the floor for their dance and Danny escorted his daughter to the floor for their dance.  I invited all the married coupes to join them for a “longest married couple” dance with the winners at 51 years married.  I then opened the floor to everyone with some Motown and top 40 that had both sides of the families, young and old, filling the floor.  It’s always such a great feeling to see everyone having so much fun dancing together!

We paused briefly for the bouquet toss, then back to dancing to top 40, hip hop and some line dances until the end of the night.

This was one of my favorite weddings, and not one I, or the guests, will soon forget!

Thank you again

I was so thrilled to play Jessica and Ben’s Wedding at The Carolina Inn on May 20th, 2016!  They are the nicest couple and have been together forever.

I provided music for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception for the 100 guests. As guests arrived for the ceremony I had light classical music playing.  After a short ceremony performed by Ben’s Grandfather that included a sand ceremony, the guests made their way to the hallway in front of the Chancellor’s ballroom for cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres.  During the cocktails hour I had a mix of soft rock, classic soul and country playing.

The doors to the ballroom opened and guests made their way to their seats.  I introduced the wedding party and Jessica and Ben came to the floor for their first dance.  Ben’s Mother then welcomed everyone followed by the blessing and toasts.  The salads and entrĂ©es came out and I continued the same music mix as cocktails.

After dinner we had the cake cutting, parents dances and anniversary dance with the winners being 51 years married!  I opened the floor with beach music and Motown that filled it for the next 1 ½ hours.  During dancing I played top 40, 70’s, a few line dances and ballads.  We paused briefly for the bouquet toss to “Haven’t Met You Yet” by Michael Buble and garter toss to “Hot In Herre” by Nelly, then back to dancing.

We ended the night with “Save The Last Dance For Me” by Michael Buble and guests made their way to the front for a bubble machine exit.

This was one of my favorite weddings, and not one I, or the guests, will soon forget!
