I always love playing
Merrimon-Wynne and this was my second wedding there this weekend. The carriage house looked so beautiful with
floral arrangements by Anna from Meristem Floral!
The ceremony was held earlier
in the day and guests made their way over to Merrimon-Wynne after. The cocktail hour was held inside the house
with light jazz playing. After the
cocktail hour, the 175 guests made their way to the carriage house for dinner
and dancing. I had music playing in the
carriage house and went in the house to line the wedding party up for
introductions.
The wedding party was
introduced into the carriage house and each couple had their own funny
dance. Megan & Nico came in and had
their first dance to one of my favorite Maxwell songs. After that Megan danced with her father and 6
women that helped raise Nico all had a special dance with him. Nicos father welcomed everyone and blessed
the meal and the salads came out. During
dinner I had a mix of standards and soft rock playing with a couple Latin songs
for Nico’s family. After the salad
course we had a few toasts and then the entrees were delivered.
After dinner they had the
cake cutting in the house but guests couldn’t wait to start dancing so the
floor opened quickly. After 15 minutes
of dancing we paused for the anniversary dance then back to dancing til the end
of the night.
The highlight of the night
was Mike David singing “Sweet Caroline” along with the Neil Diamond version and
it was seeing Frank Sinatra singing it.
After this performance guests made their way to the front of the house
for a sparkler exit and Megan and Nico made a getaway on a richshaw.
This was one of my favorite
weddings, and not one I, or the guests, will soon forget!
There is a reason I recommend Randy to all of my brides/couples. Simply put, he is the best!
