Christine and Josh’s Wedding At Highgrove Estate

Christine and Josh chose to share the southern charm of Highgrove Estate for their ceremony and reception in Fuquay-Varina.

I provided a mic and music for the ceremony in the back of the property overlooking a pond and wooded hill.  It is just a breathtaking view!  As guests arrived I had a mix of contemporary love songs playing.  The ceremony was ready to begin and guests found their seats.  It was so nice to have Christine’s cousin Mark officiate their ceremony!  The wedding party entered to “Canon In D” and Christine and her Father to “Bella’s Lullabye”.  It is such a beautiful song!  During the ceremony they had a blending of the sand ceremony and I played “Feather” from Forrest Gump.  After the ceremony they recessed to “All You Need Is Love” by Vitamin String Quartet and the 80 guests made their way to the patio for cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres.

During the cocktail hour I had a mix of country, standards and contemporary love songs playing.  After pics were taken by Nicole and Jordan from Forage + Film, DeAnna from Highgrove opened the doors to the ballroom and I invited guests in.  The room looked beautiful with arrangements by Flowers On Broad Street. I lined the wedding party up and got them ready for introductions.  I introduced them to “Let’s Get It Started” and Christine and Josh to “You Look Good” by Lady Antebellum.  They came in to the head table and her cousin blessed the meal.

The salads and family style entrées came out and I went back to music.  After dinner we had the toasts and Sweet Memories cake cutting to “Something Just Like This” by Chainsmokers.  They made their way to the doors to start their choreographed first dance to “Better Place” by Rachel Platten. After that, her Father joined her for their dance to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw.  Next, Josh escorted his Mother to the floor for their dance to “You’ve Got A Friend” by Carole King.  I opened the floor to everyone with some Motown and top 40 that filled it shortly.

After a few songs the Krispy Kreme flambé station opened and people continued to dance till the end of the night.  We ended with “Take My Drunk Ass Home” by Luke Bryan.  LOL!!  I invited guests to the front porch for a sparkler exit and I rushed up there to play “Millionaire” by Cash Cash and Nelly as they left.  They drove off in a sweet maroon ’65 Lincoln convertible.
