A Dance Party Wedding At The Bridge Club in Raleigh

Allison and Sebastian chose downtown Raleigh’s Bridge Club for their ceremony and reception on September 9th.  The venue is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors over fav Ashley Christensen’s restaurant Death and Taxes.

The ceremony was held on the 2nd floor during the early evening and the cocktail hour followed.  During the cocktail hour they had live entertainment from a female duo of a singer / guitarist and violinist.  They did an amazing job!  After that, the guests made their way to the 3rd floor for dinner, desert and toasts.  After the toasts I invited guests back down to the 2nd floor for dancing.

When everyone was in the room Allison and Sebastian joined them and had their first dance to “Sunshine Of My Life” by Stevie Wonder.  Allison’s Father joined her for their dance next to “How Sweet It Is” by James Taylor.  Sebastian and his Mother followed with their dance to “Days Like This” by Van Morrison.  I opened the floor to everyone with some Motown and top 40 that instantly filled it for the next 2 ½ hours!  The 70 guests danced to mostly 90’s and 2000’s top 40 and hip hop as well as some current dance music with some blinking foam glow sticks that I passed out.  I loved playing “”Conga” for Sebastian!  He started a conga line with everyone in it the went from 2nd floor, up the stairs to the 3rd floor, then back down to the dance floor.  So great!!!  I’m sure photographer Rick Lowe got some great shots of it.

We ended the night with “Ignition (Remix)” and finally “That’s What I Like” by Bruno Mars.  What a fun night and awesome dance party!  Thank you Sebastian and Allison and congratulations!
