I was thrilled to DJ Alexandria & Michael’s wedding reception at The Fearrington Village! As much as it tried, hurricane Matthew couldn’t damper the spirits of the 200 guests.

The ceremony was held in the Garden Terrace with live music by Arioso Strings and officiated over by Reverend Barbara Lodge.  After the ceremony the guests made their way to the tent for the cocktail hour.

After the cocktail hour the guests made their way to the Fearrington Barn for dinner and dancing.  I have seriously never seen the room look more beautiful with white flowers everywhere, a custom white dance floor with their initial in the middle and a 12 piece swing band, The Casablanca Orchestra, playing on the stage to welcome the guests.  After everyone was in the room I introduced Allie & Michael and they came right to the floor for their first dance.  Allie’s mother welcomed everyone and Michael’s grandfather blessed the meal.  The salads and entrees came out and the Orchestra played during dinner.

After dinner we had the toasts and cake cutting followed by the parents dances.  I opened the floor after that and it packed instantly.  I mean, it was packed and stayed that way for the next 3 hours!  There wasn’t a time when the floor was even a little slow.

We ended the night with “Take Me Home Tonight” and a sparkler exit from the front of the barn.

This was one of my favorite weddings, and not one I, or the guests, will soon forget!
