Wedding Reception Songs

Introduction of the Wedding party: “We Found Love” by Rihanna
First Dance: “I Want You Back” custom blend
Father-Bride Dance: “Beauty & The Beast” performed live by Lucy from Arioso Strings
Mother-Groom Dance: “Blue Suede Shoes” by Carl Perkins
Anniversary Dance: “Build Me Up Buttercup” by The Foundations
Last Dance: “Wagon Wheel” by Daruis Rucker

I was so excited to play for Molly & John’s wedding and to work with some of my favorite vendors!

After the ceremony at William Peace Chapel the 185 guests made their way to the Merrimon-Wynne house for the cocktail hour and live jazz by Table 5 that sounded amazing!  After the cocktail hour guests made their way to the carriage house for the reception.

I introduced the wedding party into the room and Molly & John came in to maybe the loudest applause I have heard at a wedding.  John escorted his mother to the floor for their dance, Molly and her father then had their dance to live violinist Lucy and finally Molly & John had their first dance.  Molly’s father then welcomed everyone and invited the HUGE family to the dance floor to open up dancing to “Friday Night” by Eric Pasley.  Great idea!!  The buffet opened in the house quietly and guests could either dance or eat.

After about an hour everyone had eaten, danced and were ready to continue.  We had the toasts and anniversary dance with the two winners being at 64 and 65 years married (WOW)!!  It was so close we had to make them both winners!  Molly and John and their families went back into the house for a private cake cutting while guests filled the dance floor again until the end of the night.

We ended the night with sing a longs and finally “Wagon Wheel” before a sparkler exit.

This was one of my favorite weddings, and not one I, or the guests, will soon forget!

Thank you again

  3. Randy, you made the night seamless and kept everything flowing -- so professional!!! And our picky request for the introduction of our son-mother dance was perfect. Many many thanks!
