I was extremely honored to play for this Raleigh policeman and his new Bride Megan!

The guests arrived for the ceremony and waited in the house til the short rain spell passed.  Soon we were in the clear and ready to go.  The guests found their seats for the outdoor ceremony with a beautiful view overlooking a lake and waited for Megan & Justin to walk down the aisle.  After a wonderful ceremony officiated by Tim Irwin that including a unity cross ceremony, Megan & Justin were married and made their way to the front of the house for pics with the wedding party.  The 160 guests made their way to the covered patio and enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.  During the cocktail hour I had a mix of country and soft rock playing.

The doors to the reception building opened and the guests found their seats.  I introduced the wedding party and Megan & Justin came in for their first dance.  After that they took their seats at the sweetheart table, Megan’s father welcomed everyone and Tim blessed the meal.  The salads and family style entrees came out and I still had a mix of country and soft rock playing.

After dinner we had the toasts, cake cutting and parents dances, then opened the floor with “The Cha Cha Slide” that filled it for the next hour.  I played top 40, country, and a few oldies that included “Hang On Sloopy” for the Ohio State fans.  We paused briefly for the bouquet and garter tosses, then back to dancing until the end of the night and their sparkler exit.

This was one of my favorite weddings, and not one I, or the guests, will soon forget!

Thank you again
