Moreno/Rallis reception at MacGregor Downs in Cary on August 31st, 2013

Rebecca and Andrew had their wedding and reception all at the MacGregor Downs members club in Cary NC.  The ceremony was held outside right behind the club with Minister Barbara Lodge who always does a wonderful job!  The ceremony ended and guests were invited into the club for the cocktail hour.  For the cocktail hour and dinner I played a mix of standards, soft rock and indie rock.  Photographer Jeff Scott from J. Darren  and Phil from Twenty-One Films were there to capture every moment.

The wedding party arrived after some pictures and were introduced to “Rock & Roll Part 2” by Gary Glitter.  Both Rebecca & Andrew are huge hockey fans, so this song was perfect for them.  They actually met in college when both were goalies on the hockey team.  Rebecca & Andrew came into the room to a huge roar and went into their first dance of “Storybook Love” from The Princess bride movie.  Rebecca danced with her Father to “You’re My Best friend” and Andrew danced with his Mother to “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole.  Rebecca’s Father said a few words to welcome everyone and guests made their way down the hallway to the dining room for dinner.

The toast by Andrew’s Father followed dinner and the Not Just Cakes made cake cutting to “We Are The Champions”.  The cakes were awesome! Yes, cakes.  The main wedding cake was the biggest wedding cake I have seen and in the shape of The Stanley Cup and the groom’s cake was a hockey mask.  Get it?  Classic!  After the cake cutting guests made their way back down the hall for dancing.

The wedding party was first on the floor and I played a few beach and Motown songs, then dropped Katy Perry’s new song “Roar” and the floor packed.  Rebecca & Andrew came into the room and we stopped the dancing for the bouquet toss to “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy” and garter toss to “The Good, The Bad & The Ugly Theme”.   I went back into dancing with a traditional Greek song for Andrews family and it worked great!  Everyone had a blast and I even think I saw Andrew twerking to "Jack Sparrow" by The Lonely Island.. lol.  What a great time and I am so happy I was a part of it!

The songs that he played throughout the evening were absolutely perfect! It really made the night so spectacular for everyone!!
